Sleight of Hand

The demilitarized face

No longer the site of killing,  

Ripping flesh to survive and defend. 

The snout shortened

Whiskers, now purely ornamental, 

A smile well-developed to charm and deceive if need be

All this dignity bestowed by the hard-working hands
