Touching Each Other

Neurons are known for their connections. The tiny thread-like structures coming out of them are designed to reach out and touch other neurons. Through this, they pass on information to other neurons. Especially in the cortex, the outer layer on the top of the brain, these interconnections become very complex. This artwork shows one of such millions of neurons in the cortex
