Protesting air pollution
New Delhi was the most polluted place on earth on a few days at the end of 2017. The alarming increase of particulate matter in the air was caused by a combination of factors – coal burning power plants, industries, crop burning, vehicular emissions etc. Quality of life dipped to unlivable standards. Children were developing chronic respiratory conditions, elderly were dying prematurely and normally healthy adults were falling sick. The general public focused their anger on the political class, but a simple and fair solution eluded New Delhi. This poster series is a reaction to the yearly cycle of living through apocalyptic air pollution, with no solution at sight.
